Good Bye For Now!

      Today I am leaving for my second and final camp of the summer! This one is two weeks so I will not have a post up for a while. I will make sure to have a lot of posts when I get back though because it will be time to get ready for fall and back to school shopping! So this is goodbye for two weeks I will miss you!

Getting Ready for the leaves to Fall!

     Hello everyone! I need to have a new introduction in my blogs "hello everyone" is really boring. Well anyway,  I love dressing for fall it is my favorite season and I have a few must haves I am keeping an eye out for! I know it is only July but, Fall is coming faster than you think and It was like 67 degrees in Chicago and almost everyone was wearing jeans. I have a few staple pieces I am keeping my eye out for Fall that I think will make any outfit. One being an over-sized cream sweater (great for layering!), I have already found one on sale from Nordstrom! Another is a pair of hunter green pants and a pair of burgundy or mahogany pants. I also want a pair of either hunter green or navy Hunter boots. Than I just need some basic bottom downs, a new pair of jeans, and some brown riding boots! I know all of this sounds like a lot for some people, but these will make up the majority of my basic fall wardrobe. Here are a few examples of what I mean and some other cute outfit ideas!

A Heads Up and a Couple of Pins!

       Hello lovlies! As a heads up I will be leaving for another camp on sunday! I know you will miss me, or will you? Anyway, I am really excited although two weeks is a very long time for no new posts. I also do not think I have anytime to preschedule any posts and for that I am truly sorry! I am very busy but I can always find time for pintrest. So, I thought I would show you a few posts I found. Picked Up a Few Things!

       Hello! Yesterday I went shopping with my friends because I needed to pick up a few things for camp! Of course I got side tracked, who doesn't? I thought I would show you the few things that I got! At the bottom I will include a picture of my friend and I in really adorable dresses from Top Shop that we didn't get!  Well, here it is...

These shorts are from Free People, they were on sale! You can't really sea it but they have a belt-like thing built into them that give them a really cute detail! I needed another pair of jean shorts because you can't really wear khaki shorts to camp! 

This is a hat I got from Urban Outfitters. I know this one isn't preppy, but I didn't have time to order one from vineyard vines or another website. This one has a cute floral pattern though so it will work!

This circle skirt is from American Apparel. It was my first time in an American Apparel, I know right what am I doing with my life! They had some cute things and all of the bows were so cute! The skirt is mint and corduroy.  Below is a picture I took in the dressing room on my phone so sorry that is is so blurry.

I'm Back!

    Hello everyone! Did you miss me? I certainly missed blogging but, I had an amazing time at soccer camp! For those of you who didn't know I went to Notre Dame soccer camp for my third year and each year I meet a lot of new friends. Everyone there is extremely nice and I always learn and improve a lot when I go. You should definitely check it out if you play soccer. I thought it would be a cool idea to do an outfit of the day of my first outfit out of soccer clothing. So, here you go!

My shirt is from Urban Outfitters and is a jean short sleeved collard shirt. It has polka dots with strips on the collar, pocket, and cuff. My shorts are from Zara. They are pink cotton high waisted shorts with gold buttons.

My sandals are Steve Madden and I got them from Nordstrom. 

My earrings are from Francesca's and are a perfect mix of nautical and preppy! I put them in a hydrangea for the picture because I love the color. It took forever to get them right!

Going Off to Camp!

    Well everyone, the day is finally here I am going of to camp! As I think I have mentioned this is the first of two camps I will be going to this summer, with this one being the shortest. I have been to this camp two times before, so this will be my third time going. Just a few tips for going to a sports camp...
          1. Not everyone is at the same level as you! I am an ok soccer player and some of the kids at this camp are better than me and some are not as experienced. This is just something you have to accept and move past.
         2. Make friends! This camp if fairly short but it can feel like a lifetime if you do not make friends. Since the time is limited you should start right away and just go with it! It is important though to not be a different person because you already share a similarity with the kids at camp. You both like the same sport! Its a great and easy conversation starter!
         3. If all else fails let loose and have fun! You are going to the camp for two reasons, one, to improve at the sport and two, you need to have fun! Do not surround yourself with concentration and competition!

A Great App!

     Hello all! I have recently discovered a great app called paper. I downloaded it onto my ipad and have been playing around with it recently and I thought I would share it with you. I am an ok artist, but I love drawing and designing clothing so this app has been really helpful. The full version of the app does cost money and if you want to actually use the app I would suggest getting the full version which is about seven dollars. If you just want to check it out though you can download it for free! I just drew a few things so far and I thought I would share them with you! They are nothing special but, I hope you like them!

Pictures!

   As promised, I have a couple of pictures of me and my friends from our tiny party/get together. Not everyone who came are in these pictures and there are only a few. It was fun to see everyone, some people who came I had never really spent a lot of time with, because they were my friend Lily's close friends. It was both Lily and I's birthday party and in the pictures we are the ones wearing tiaras! Don't judge! Her mom bought them for us and I absolutely loved mine! Before the pictures I have a couple of shout outs, to everyone who came and brought Lily and I gifts! Also, Lily hosted the party so, thank you so much it was really fun! Here you go...

A Day of Baking!

     Happy Friday! Yesterday, I spent the entire day making cupcakes for me and my friend's belated birthday party today. I love baking so it was a wonderful day for me. Also, I tried a new thing while baking, fondant! It was surprisingly easy to make and only required a few simple ingredients. I couldn't think of what to make with the fondant so I decided to make little present boxes. I promise to have some pictures up tomorrow, but till then here are a few of the cupcakes I made...

Things to Watch Out For!

       Good morning lovlies! Just as a warning I have two camps coming up and while there I will not be able to blog. The first camp is a soccer camp and that begins on the 17th and lasts five days. Then a week after I get back I leave for another camp, this camp is two weeks long. I know this is a lot of time that there will be no blog posts, so I will try to schedule some blogs to go up while I am away. Also, when school starts I will most likely not be able to post every day so I will work out a schedule and let you know!
       The school I attend has a dress code so I will make either a blog post or a video on dressing with a dress code. The dress code restricts all jean style pants, tight pants, anything denim, and boots. You are also required to wear shirts with sleeves and collars. Let me know if you dress code is similar and if not I could also do a post about a first day option for a dress code-less school!

Sorry for the Late Post!

     Bonjour mes amis! Sorry about the late blog post today. Last night me and my friend were hanging out when time just got away from me and I fell asleep. I typically write my blog post the night before and schedule it to be posted at 12:00 am, but obviously that did not happen.
     Anyway, when my friend came over she was nice enough to give me a birthday gift which was really nice because my birthday happened recently. I will put a picture of what she gave at the bottom. It was a candle and a facial scrub from here local spa which was really adorable because she related them to some of my favorite things! So, thank you Samantha! Also, my room had become quite messy over the corse of this week so it needed to be cleaned. I am not the best at keeping my room clean because I change my outfit at least two or three times a day, even during the summer. Some ways to make cleaning up your room not so bad are pretty basic but they can really help; I like to listen to music or if I have a summer reading book for school I will get the story on tape as well as the book. That is just a really good way to really remember the book.
   Since it was recently me and my friends birthday we are having a small party which I am looking forward to. It will be on friday and we are having a barbecue and watching a movie in her backyard. I will hopefully be able to take some pictures if it is not too late at night, so be on the look out for those. Just to wrap it up I will probably be spending most of the morning reading outside because it is nice for once. I will but a picture down below of my summer reading book and as I promised what my friend gave me.

So the book I have to read for school is the Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and I am not sure if I like it yet I just started it. So if you have read it or have to read it tell me what you think! Right beside the book is a cup of my English Breakfast tea which I drink almost every morning.

Here are the two things my friend Samantha gave me for my birthday! On the left is a candle that is supposed to smell like Goji Tarocco Orange. I love anything citrus smelling so I love it! On the right is the face scrub and it is a carrot facial scrub. I know that may sound strange but I love carrots and I thought it was nice that she remembered that. I will defiantly use it and tell you how it goes.

Up Coming Events!

       Hello I hope your monday wasn't too bad! It was rainy where I live again so my day was not the best. Also, I had a doctors appointment and had to get my finger pricked for a blood analysis. If you do not know I am a vegetarian so they had to check my hemoglobin levels, luckily everything is perfect! Anyway, I am planing on doing some exciting things soon. One being me and one of my friends are planing on hosting a party with our friends so pictures and details to come! Another thing is that me and another one of my friends both really like tea, and she has been trying to find a place in chicago where there are tea tastings. I honestly have no idea what a tea tasting pertains but, if you live in the area and know of a place you can do this leave a comment! Also, if you have any comments or suggestions feel free to email me! Todays post will be short because I am busy with planing and packing. So as always...

Just a Few Things!

        Hello everyone! I hope your weekend was amazing and full of cute clothing! This weekend was one of my friends birthdays, so, I had to go to the mall to get her a present. While at the mall I picked up a few things in the few minutes I had. I was in Forever 21 because I opted for the gift card because I had no idea what to get her. I typically don't buy to many things from Forever 21 because of the quality but, they were having a sale on their basics so I got three v-neck teeshirts. Also, I saw an adorable romper and I couldn't resist! The party was at a pool so I decided to wear the new romper and one of the buttons fell of after 20 minutes! I love the romper though, so I am going to repair it tomorrow. Anyway, I also ordered a pair of shorts from Banana Republic so I put a picture of them at the bottom.
